Privacy Policy

DealMint helps Shopify merchants run discounts that respect a margin floor. This policy explains what data the app uses, why, and how it is deleted.

      We only use store data needed to run your discounts.
We do not collect or store your customers' personal information or orders.
We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
All of your store's data is deleted after you uninstall.

    

Data we collect

When you install DealMint, Shopify gives the app access to your store through the permissions you approve. We store the following:

Product and variant titles, IDs and pricesTo target campaigns and show the margin check.

Cost per itemTo calculate each product's margin so discounts never go below your floor.

Campaigns and app settingsTo create, schedule and run the discounts you set up.

Original prices for bulk price campaignsTo restore your prices when a campaign is paused or ends.

Customer segment names and IDsTo limit a campaign to a segment you choose. Individual customer records are not read.

Webhook delivery IDsTo avoid processing the same Shopify update twice.

DealMint also saves each variant's cost in an app-owned metafield in your store, so Shopify can apply the margin floor at checkout. Billing is handled entirely by Shopify; we never see payment details.

How we use it

We use this data only to provide the app's features: syncing costs, building and scheduling discounts, applying the margin floor at checkout, showing storefront widgets, and providing support when you contact us. We do not use it for advertising, profiling or any purpose unrelated to the app.

Your customers

DealMint does not collect, store or process personal information about your customers, and it does not access orders. Discounts are calculated by Shopify Functions inside Shopify's checkout.

The optional storefront widgets read campaign details published to your store and the current cart. The gift pop-up stores a small flag in the shopper's browser session storage so a dismissed pop-up or an added gift isn't repeated. It contains no personal information and is cleared when the browser tab closes. The widgets set no cookies and use no tracking.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data while the app is installed. When you uninstall, your access tokens are deleted and campaigns stop immediately. Shopify then sends a data deletion request, usually within 48 hours, and we permanently delete all remaining data for your store.

Before uninstalling, use Safe uninstall in the app to restore any prices changed by bulk price campaigns.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Every request from Shopify is verified, and each store can only access its own data.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your store's data at any time. If you are in the EEA, the UK or California, you have these rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA. We also respond to the data requests Shopify sends on behalf of merchants and their customers.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
